“I’ve successfully come back to work [after maternity leave]—we’re selling our house, trying to buy a fixer-upper, we have two kids, two cats, a dog, a husband, all that—and I’m not going crazy. It’s a big accomplishment!

Right now, my brain is so overcome with all the things we need to do to sell our house. Yesterday I saved $90 on paint. I’m proud of saving 50 percent off paint, ha!

I compartmentalize—at least that’s what I hope my boss would say. I like being busy with this kind of stuff. When I’m nursing [my son], I’m on Pinterest coming up with new ideas. I’m able to be more focused then, because I get an extra hour and a half of phone time in the dark overnight. I’m good at utilizing my time in creative ways!"
