The idea for Girl Brag came from an interview question.

"What's something you do better than your teammates?"

I hesitated before answering. Was it a trick? Am I supposed to downplay my accomplishments and skills?

Womxn are taught not to brag, but it's an outdated lesson that puts us at a disadvantage. If we're standing out at work, in our relationships—running the world, as Beyoncé would say—it's time to speak up! After all, if we won't brag about our accomplishments, who will?
